HOW IS NLP USED IN EDUCATION?

Give a man a fish and you have fed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you have fed him for the rest of his life.
ANCIENT PROVERB

We so often hear parents say that they know their child has potential, but they just don't seem to be achieving their best in school.

Our current state education system presupposes that children know how to learn, but many bright intelligent children actually devise learning strategies that are ineffective and confusing, and result in them achieving below their potential.  Many children and young people take failure personally and assume there must be something wrong with them. They start to devalue learning and school and believe that they are stupid.  They give up trying to learn because they always seem to get the same ineffective results.

Using visual learning techniques and NLP it is possible to help young people diagnosed with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.  In a few sessions we can help improve spelling and reading, develop new learning strategies, and overcome the effects of years of negative feelings about themselves and their learning.

For many children and young people, school and learning can be a time of stress and emotional anxiety.  A lack of confidence, low self-esteem, big schools, large class sizes and a lack of resources or support from appropriate staff, are all major factors in why many young don't meet their potential.

NLP can bridge the gap for these students; raise confidence and self-belief to enable them become the best that they can be.

At the other end of the scale, NLP can help turn a good student into a great student.  Many private and independent schools are using NLP to increase their student's exam, study and learning skills and overall performance!
